Seasons last Game

Cwmcarn entertained the Newport Saracens at Waunfawr park in their final game of the 2014/15 season.

The weather was cold wet and windy but coach Ieuan Parsons was pleased with the turnout with 22 players making thenselves available.

Saracens turned up with an exceptionally strong side, with players who have competed at a much higher level and four academy players.

The game was a one way affair with Saracens scoring 14 tries with Cwmcarn replying with a single penalty. It has been an exceptional season for the Saracens after being demoted four divisions from last season after being unable to field a side for most it. It is astonishing what a free kitbag can do!!!!! Good luck to the "Sarries" for next season in Div 3C East, and the best of luck to rest of the clubs in that division.

Cwmcarn although struggling in most facets of play did excel at the scrum and showed glimpses of what they are capable of doing when given the chance.

Cwmcarn backroom staff were pleased under the circumstances and are generally pleased with the advances that have been made this season and are looking forward to next season.

Well done the Carn true Corinthians one and all.
